Spoke with the technician in the late morning – He
is doing well. She said that we could visit him that evening after work, just
call and let them know.
Called at 2:30 - He’s doing great, got up on his
own, still on his IV pain med drip. He definitely can’t go home tonight, maybe
tomorrow. He hasn’t passed any stools yet, but this is normal.
We went to visit him after work.
He looks pretty happy in the photo. He recognized us
and was happy to see us. He even tried to follow us out the door when we left,
so we waited there and let the technician take him back to his pen first.
He was very much under the effects of his pain meds.
We were surprised at how well he was able to get around with just a little
help, even being so doped up.
