Day Two
Taking Santa Barbara by Storm

Well, Day 2
started off a LOT better than Day 1. After having a continental breakfast
and touring the Franciscan Inn, we headed out into the overcast day to see what
interesting things we could find.

A couple of the
interesting places/things we found were Sterns Wharf, a couple of sand
“creatures”, some pelicans and of course, the beach.

After hiking
along the beach for a while, we had lunch at the East Beach Grill and watched
the surf roll in. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand is SO
relaxing.

After the excitement on the beach we decided we needed to head back to
the hotel to enjoy the hot tub and pool. Wouldn’t you know it, the sun
came out at that time! A few hours of basking in the sun recharged us
enough to go search out dinner. So we drove into downtown Santa Barbara to see what
we could find. Well, we found a lot!

There are a LOT of trendy and interesting shops in Santa Barbara along State St. as well as a Farmers
Market! We ended up eating at a pizza place named Uncle Rocco’s N.Y.
Pizza. After dinner we drove along to see if we could find a place to get
a good view of the sunset but ended up touring some of THE most beautiful parts
of Santa Barbara.
We tried to get some photos of some of the places we saw, but from the car it
is a bit difficult.

By the time we finished touring we were ready for some after dinner
refreshments. We decided that a restaurant named The Sojourner was just the
place. Angie had found it when looking for dinner ideas and read that
they had some really good desserts. We both have to agree with what she
read. The Carmel Butterscotch N.Y. Cheesecake and Chocolate Espresso
Pudding Pie were AWESOME!

Sweet craving taken care of, we headed back to the Franciscan to
prepare for……
Taking Pacific Grove/Monterey by storm!
Come back here tomorrow for our next
exciting installment! --- Day 3
